Caddies on the Links
Not all of the golf courses offer the facility to book caddies although there is usually a way of securing one if booked in advance with no need to resort to child labour either! Fortunately Ayrshire is blessed with some excellent caddies and the Open Championship courses all have professional caddiemasters to ensure that you are provided with a first class service.
It is adviseable however that you do not leave it until you arrive to book one. Sure you may be lucky but the chances are you won't as caddies normally need to be booked in adavnce and as far in advance as possible.
To make this easy we've highlighted the courses who offer the facitilty to book caddies and the contact numbers. Where appropriate you'll find the cost of the caddies - gratuities are naturally at the discretion of the player. You'll also find information below on pull carts, electric pull carts and sit on buggies. Sit on buggies remain elusive on the west coast links courses and this is often more to do with the unsuitable terrain.
